Triple S diving days are back! We got Shark, Seals and a Stingray! And also lots of sunshine – wonderful day at sea!

This Sunday started off with 'Triple S Diving' as the morning saw seals, stingrays and sharks…

“Guess who’s back, back again, the White Sharks are back, tell a Friend!!”

On January 1st 2016, after an incredible December, white shark sightings began to slow down in Gansbaai. Cage diving operators are returning from sea reporting no sightings of white sharks despite extensive attempts to find them, for over a week. There are eight companies each trying different parts of the bay daily. Many speculative statements get thrown about whenever drops in the shark’s numbers occur. Therefore, we have attempted to address some real possibilities…

Our days out on the water are full of surprises but no one was expecting the MASSIVE surprise we got on the 12th of May. A female Great White, bigger than our cage in length and girth, got the whole boat excited…

Today saw the return of one of Marine Dynamics and my own favourites, “Malcolm X”….

We are lucky enough to have many Great Whites visit our vessel whilst out on the water. Some of these individuals are easily identifiable due to scars, pigmentation, tags, notches in dorsal and caudal fins and also missing pieces from their fins. Some have earned names for such interesting, distinguishable features and have also been seen to have distinctive personality traits to match as well! It is my pleasure to introduce a few of our favourites…

The day was plagued with on and off drizzle but lucky for us the sharks aren’t afraid of the rain…

So you know white sharks have a sixth sense and that they can have 30,000 teeth over a lifetime – but do you know these top 10 facts?

This male must have been close to 5 meters in length, was girthy and was definitely keen on our bait!! He passed close by the cage (which was dawarfed by him), opened his jaws wide and circled over and over. This was an awesome trip…!
