“Guess who’s back, back again, the White Sharks are back, tell a Friend!!”

So they’re back! A beautiful 3 meter male white shark joined us this morning. With some graceful passes in the deep and some excellent jaw gaping at the surface, we were truly spoiled today. The superb water visibility today gave our cage divers some of the best conditions to view this beauty underwater, as well as a fantastic opportunity to capture some great photos and video.

All 31 of our guests ventured into the cage today, which was a “Jawsome” (sorry…) sight to see after a couple weeks of inactivity in the bay. Even our youngest guest of just 5 years was eager to spot this shark from the water!

It seemed like the stars had aligned for us today, having briefed our guests about Shark Awareness day today, it was the icing on the cake that this gentleman of a shark showed up today. To follow some of the interesting goings on in the shark world, feel free to check out the hashtag on twitter and Instagram #sharkawarenessday

In addition to our shark friend joining us today, we also had some fascinating bird life surround Slashfin. Notably, the White Morph Petrel a rare sight in itself, and a young Cape Gannet were spotted bobbing in the water

Our new cage finally got to see a shark today, and survived! And we were able to take a great trip photo of our happy guests as we returned to the harbour!

It seemed more than appropriate to celebrate this occasion so the champagne was on ice to toast the sharks upon our return to the Great White House.
