A brisk morning greeted our first trip as we headed to our dive site in the shallows. We didn’t know what to expect after a day off sea due to bad weather conditions, but after a two hour wait and some fantastic patience from those on board, we had our shark join us at the boat, a small juvenile white shark measuring approximately 2.8 meters. This individual hung around for a while and was able to show our clients the beauty of the Great White before heading off. Whilst we only saw this individual it’s always a good trip when we see a shark! After a slow start to trip one hopes weren’t too high. At first we had no shark presence but then once we moved anchor to a new location we were visited by five different individuals including a satellite tagged shark who surprised us with its energetic passes and made the trip truly fantastic! It’s truly amazing how much difference a few meters can make when looking for animals in the wild…
