08/09/2014
Location: Joubertsdam
Water Temperature: 16oC
Depth: 10.8m
Visibility: 1.5m
Number of Sharks: 13 + 8
Conditions:  Lots of swell, but low wind so not too choppy, clear skies with lots of sun.

The first trip of the day launched to calm conditions, and within 15 minutes had their first sharks around the boat! A number of smaller white sharks frequented the boat initially, giving some decent passes for our divers, but then some larger sharks appeared, scaring off the smaller individuals, but more than making up for it with some fantastic shark activity! Really a fantastic treat for our guests on the boat! Our second trip of the day launched into choppy waters, but the sharks were nothing but fantastic! A number of sharks were around the cage throughout the trip, some of which we had also seen on our previous trip, including the large female shark recently named Ingrid! This shark in particular was very active this trip, and gave some amazing passes at the cage and views for those on boat, whenever she was around! A really active and frisky shark! Even though we recognise man of these sharks, they always manage to surprise us while we’re out on Slashfin, the Great White Shark is always an adventure to witness in the wild…
