I believe I should start by saying WOW what an absolutely wonderful day that we got to spent out on the water! The weather was great with the sun shining and a light breeze to keep things cool and fresh. The sharks were out and about today with both our morning and afternoon trip experiencing sharks from the get go. The afternoon trip actually had three, yes that’s right, three sharks spotted as we set anchor! The sharks today ranged in size from approximately 2.5m up to a 4.2m individual on the second trip. It’s great for those on board to see a range of sizes as it allows for look at the range of size and behaviour that we see in the Great Whites. “Sellendilloh”, one of Ocearch’s tagged sharks was present for both trips, showing of his satellite SPOT tag. The afternoon trip had an interesting arrival with a juvenile female showing up towards the end of the trip acting very docile. This small shark took its time slowly coming in, passing close to the cage, jaws open and looking at the divers in the cage. What a spectacular day to see some Great White Sharks…
