06/01/13 Trip 1 & 3
Location: Joubertsdam
Visibility: 2-3m
Water Temp: 18’C
Sharks Sighted: Trip 1 – 9, Trip 2 – 10
Conditions: Slight chop

Trip1
This was a trip of BIG sharks… The first sighted was Matilda at 4.2m’s she’s always in excellent form and made some amazing passes close to the cage. Next a true giant of Joubertsdam arrived – a shark at least 4.5m’s in length arrived. She flew from the water on at least two occasions and stayed close to Slashfin for the remainder of the trip. Finally we saw a 4m male to round of the trip

Trip3
No sign of Matilda or the other large female on this trip but the big male returned as did an extremely feisty 3.5m female. Together they attempted to ambush the bait over and over and showed why they are ‘great’ white sharks. A total of 10 sharks on this trip in calm conditions.
