Trip 1
It was a wild and windy day out on the water with some stronger South-East winds coming through however the conditions in the Shallows were quite comfortable and the shark activity was fantastic. The first trip did have to practice some patience with close to an hour wait and an anchor move for the first shark to appear. Once the sharks did turn up they saw a range of sizes from approximately 2.4m up to a beautiful 4.0m female. This trip saw two of our very well known sharks at the moment with “Momi” a active female with a bite wound on her head showing up and “Feisty” a recently tagged male nicknamed so due to his playful behaviour.

Trip 2
The second trip of the day launched with a small group from Norway and Sweden and had sharks almost instantly after arriving back on anchor. The shark appeared quickly with new sharks arriving constantly throughout this trip. The most active was “Momi” returning again since the first trip and making beautiful passes and attempts by the boat.

Trip 3
The third and final trip also experienced sharks from the get go with a small juvenile female gliding by in the beginning and then four other individuals arriving all between the 3.0-4.5m in length. Unfortunately none of these large animals decided to stick around however as our first cage was getting out of the water “Pieter” arrived to pick things up and turned out to be the most active of the trip and surely a favourite for many of our guests today. This afternoon’s group was also treated to the sight of the tagged male “Feisty” living up to his name and finished with a brief visit from “Nala” a large female that cruised by gracefully.

A perfect day to finish off the week.
