Location: Gansbaai. South Africa

Dive site: Joubertsdam

Water temp: Moderate

Visibility: Poor

Sightings: Bronze whalers, Broadnose sevengill shark, Cape Fur seal

Trip 1.

Our early bird trip started with all of us being super excited to see the sharks! After a beautiful ride through the shallows, we got to our anchor spot. The sharks came to us in a little while and the activity picked up rather quickly. Today we were lucky to see two species of sharks: our usual bronze whalers were as active as ever and we also got to see a broadnose sevengill cowshark! And of course, a cape fur seal didn’t miss a chance to show off its swimming skills. As we were done diving we headed back to shore to say our goodbyes.

Trip 2.

It was a calm sea today with almost no wind! As soon as our divers got into their wetsuits the Bronze whaler sharks appeared! We could enjoy great shark activity throughout the trip!
