Guest Comment: "It was really good. I loved watching the sharks. They were amazing. And the woman with the paper (the guiding biologist) was amazing because she knew everything about the sharks. She even told us the names of them! Thank you!"

An amazing day for shark cage diving in Gansbaai! Our first trip of the day was a very lucky trip for everyone! Upon arriving at the Geldsteen, we anchored and before we could drop the cage into the water, a natural predation occurred just 250 meters away from the boat! The sharks were highly active and within 5 minutes of putting the cage into the water, we had 2 sharks come by. The largest shark of the trip was a 4.1 meter shark that we know well and call "Clampy" due to a previous tag on it's dorsal fin. Another shark that we call "Mini Nemo", due to an injury on his right pectoral fin, came by the cage as well and put on quite a show. In total we had 16 different sharks visit our boat. We also witnessed four separate predations, two which were only 100 meters away from the boat. It was an amazing trip for everyone, crew included. The second trip of the day was an exclusive trip in which a family from Russia rented out the boat. On this trip, "Mini Nemo" came back around and yet again put on an amazing display for everyone. He breached numerous times and was constantly around the cage. In total we saw 5 sharks within the one hour trip. On the third trip, we yet again saw "Mini Nemo." He seemed to be hanging around the area all day. As he breached, an albatross and two giant petrols flew by. Another shark that we know well, called "Lumpy" came by numerous times as well. All in all, it was an amazing day for shark cage diving...
