Sightings: Bronze whaler sharks, Broadnose Sevengill sharks, Cape fur seals + Humpback whales.
Trip Summary: It was a chilly morning here in Kleinbaai, and our guests arrived as the sun was rising! Little tired but very excited to see some wildlife! Our guests did not take long to get into their wetsuits on anchor and luckily they are thick and warmer! After a few short waiting minutes, the first Bronze Whaler shark came out off now wear! Surprising our guests and crew! We quickly got our first divers in and the diving experience could begin! We had great Bronze whaler sharks around but also an appearance of two different Broadnose sevengill sharks! On our way back to Gansbaai Harbor we saw Whale spouts in the distance and two Humpback whales appeared! What a bonus! Our second trip of the day launched from Gansbaai Harbour and made our way around the point and onto anchor where we were greeted only minutes later by our first Bronze whaler shark. The activity progressed throughout the trip and we had multiple individuals including a juvenile, a male adult, and two adult females. At the end of the trip we made our way back to Kleinbaai harbour for the third trip of the day.
Overall cold but an amazing day, A big thank you to all our guests that joined the Marine Dynamics Team today!
