We started our first trip of the day nice and early and although a bit tired and sleepy we were excited to start our adventure. Once at the dive site, our guests quickly jumped into their wetsuits and were ready to go into the cage. As soon as our crew attached the cage to the boat our first copper sharks started to arrive. Slow at the beginning they picked the pace as the trip progressed coming really close to the cage and slapping their tails around. By the end of the trip, we also had a Cape Fur seal porpoising around the boat for a bit. Once everyone had their chance we headed back to the harbour for our next group of divers.
We headed back into the sea under the clear sky and just a bit of wind in our faces. Our crew picked up the cage that we left behind from the previous trip and started chumming the water. The copper sharks did not make us wait and started appearing on the surface. Sharks were extremely acive and curious coming to the cage and occasionally trying to stick their noses in it. Almost by the end of our trip we had a nice surprise of a humpback dolphin swimming by not too far from our boat.
For our third trip we first headed out towards Dyer Island and briefly showed our guests the seals of Geyser Rock. The water was crystal clear, as our guests witnessed these amazing animals swimming near our vessel. Afterwards we headed towards The Shallows and prepared to show our guests the Copper sharks. Once we arrived, our crew attached the cage to our vessel, our divers jumped into their wetsuits, and the first Copper sharks arrived. Our divers were amazed by the beauty of the Copper sharks as they swam passed the cage. After viewing these amazing sharks in fantastic visibility waters for a while, we headed back to shore.
